    .22 Small Game Hunting

I know this is txbowhunter.com, but you guys are pretty familiar with alot of public areas. We're trying to find some land we can squirrel/rabbit hunt on with our .22's, but just about all the public land is shotgun only.

Caddo will let you, but that's the only one I can think of off the top of my head. Anyone know of any others?

If its a corp of engineers lake you cannot you rifles of any kind and this includes rimfire .22's. Can't use them at LBJ either, caddo national grasslands is the only place close to DFW, east texas has a few of them (lake O the pines) but public land that allows riflles in texas has pretty much been phased out and alot of places have gone archery only recently for safety, expect more of it in the future with the advancements in achery technology.
