Anybody want to go DIY CO public land elk hunt?

If i was back in town Id be all over it. Im not in any form ready to hunt. My longbow is in storage- but I would go just to be there again. Next year Im jumping on with someone - bow- gun- atlatl I dont care. Wish you luck brother. Good to see you around again

Well I was going and it was going to be my first elk hunt so I was very excited about it. Spent about 10 days getting everything i needed and getting ready. Then the week we were leaving my son got covid and I had to back out.

Had a great time just no elk. Probably needed to go a week later. Had a bull moose bed down behind my tent and he stayed the night. He was there the next morning. I got within 22 yards of him
