Unhappy Sad Day

Had to go this morning and put our German/ Rott. mix down of 12yrs. Daughter is heart broken. She was a good watch dog.

God Bless

I understand the heartache. I had to put my boy Jake asleep 2 weeks ago. I really struggled for a few day, and while watching TV one night I heard a quote from Winnie the Pooh and it really ease my grief.

“How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

Hardest thing to do is to loose a close 4 legged family member (outside of loosing a 2 legged family member). I have lost too many but try to remember the good times. Sorry for your loss, but just remember they are waiting for you across the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. Just remember those good times. Our fur babies aren't here for a long time, but for the short time they're here, they fill our lives with as much unconditional love as their hearts can give. Prayers to you and your family during this time.

See too many of these threads on here, and they always get to me. I came home from work a couple of months ago to find my dog of 12 years in the hall in her final moments. There aren’t many things worse than losing a good dog, but the joy they bring us while they’re with us makes it worth the pain we feel when they go.
