Executive orders can't be eliminated without taking away the government's ability to respond quickly during a crisis. Disaster declarations after hurricanes, for example, are executive orders. So are military responses in the event of an attack. The deregulation taking place under Trump is based on an executive order. There is a bill in Congress that would require executive orders to be ratified by Congress within 60 days or they would expire. However Congress would play political games with this trading ratification for something they wanted so it could backfire.

I’m trying to find out what this old bill was called and which politicians supported/sponsored it. Also if they are still trying to pass this or if they gave up. Would be nice to know which ones are actually for we the people instead of just their own bank accounts.
