We had a buck show up on camera a couple months back that had something odd about his antlers earning him the name.
When my 10 yr old saw him he instantly laid claim. We had several good bucks show up yesterday morning and evening hunt but his heart was truly set on “cauliflower”. Well with about 10 minute left of legal light his buck shows up and gets in the feeder.
Everything happened so fast after that it’s a blur. I told Brody to get on the cross bow and shoot him and that’s all it took. Wasn’t 2 seconds after those words left my mouth, THWACK!!! And the celebration began. We tried to be quiet but I’m sure we looked like Luke Bryan after shoots a deer. It was amazing. I’m so proud this boy and all my kids. They love the outdoors no matter what we are doing and they all take the time
To practice for that one shot. Buck went 17.5” inside spread & 170ish pounds on the hoof. Perfect shot.
