What are you looking for? he is young and would be stellar in a couple of years but its all relative to your opportunities. If you see them all the time and getting one in the future isn't an issue I'd let him walk. If not he is good enough.

I guess I should have read this before responding. I basically said the same thing.

I am in the minority here. He’s a great deer. big and old enough for me.
But I don’t like my trophies/mounts in velvet. Chocolate bases and ivory tips for me.

I would kill him when he sheds. And maybe take a doe now if I found one without a fawn.

If he is coming every day, he will probably stay around for a while unless you spook him. He should shed his velvet pretty soon, then take him.

Is he a good one? - No

But if he floats your boat go get him quick before he disappears. Id guess 27"ish

Shooter on low fence free range and you don’t ever see them . He is definitely a shooter with a bow !!

If you do decide to go after this one, good luck.

                              I would say equal to a 4.5 135 inch 10 point whitetail

I think he stretches to 27-28”, and as other have said, is a good free range axis. You’re gonna spend $3500 or so to shoot a 30” axis or better behind a high fence if that helps you solidify a decision in any way. Me personally, if it was my place?….I’d gas on it!
