    Ruger now shipping Marlin lever actions

    Ruger purchased Marlin Firearms from Remington and they are now shipping, one year after the purchase:
    Nearly one year after acquiring the assets associated with the Marlin brand, Ruger has announced it is shipping the first Ruger-made Marlin.

    I wonder why they chose that rifle as their flagship. Lots of people wanting a 336 30-30. A
    Guide gun on 35 Remington would be a dream come true

      I imagine that was the best seller or they think it will be. Myself, I have no need for a 45-70.

          It’s nuts what these things cost now. Kicking myself in the rear for not buying the old version for $800 a couple of years ago.

                Looks like they made quite a few upgrades on it but the pricing still looks a couple hundred high.

                          It's straight up because Chris Pratt uses one in Jurassic World.

                          They think it will be popular. Kind of like when Colt Pythons tripled in value after they were on the walking dead.
