6.5 Creedmoor ammo for Browning Hells Canyon

Hey guys,

Just bought a Browning Hells Canyon in 6.5 Creedmoor. The only ammo I have been able to find is Hornady SST 129grn. I'm sure that will work fine for deer but I'm wanting a larger bullet. What ammo have you used that works well in this rifle? Any any leads on where I can get some?

Be careful with the ELDX. They are known for core/jacket separation.

It’s my understanding the 147 ELDM is even worse.

I may be wrong but I do believe they corrected that issue. They were having problems with the tips melting at high velocities.

I'm a big fan of Nosler 140gr BT, has worked great on pigs and wt for me. I have used the 120gr with good results too but I like the 140 better

My APR 6.5CM shoots the cheap Hornady American Whitetail 129 grain lights out and leaves deer and pigs dead right where they were standing. I find them pretty much everywhere on the shelf right now.

I’ve got the Speed version, I don’t shoot much factory Ammo but the 140 ELD-M shoots well. I load 130 Berger vld’s for mine.

I’m pretty sure the tips melting was the Amax, which the ELDMs replaced. The 147s were having separation issues.
