Man these pics are super cool! I love looking at old stuff like this and wandering about the stories they hold.
So much so, that I started an Instagram page this morning to see more lol. Give it a follow and send in your pics!

Here’s the only pic I have of an old house on my Menard lease.
It’s barely standing up and as of last year some brave soles were still using it.

Our old hunting camp in Palo Pinto from 58 through 79. Sheet metal shack in the background had a dirt floor and a big ol pot belly stove. Us kids usually slept in the tent or pickup with a shell. The sheet metal contraption on the left was a homemade smoker that turned out some of the best smoked venison ham you have ever tasted!

This was our camp house for many years. Built in the 1890s for the family to live in while they were building their "real" home. Most of the glass was original and had that wavy look about it. Too many good times were had on the deck we built out back with a 48" dia fire pit in the middle. The Victorian home is what was eventually built for the family. I believe it took them about 10 years to complete.

Wow! Heck of a setup. Is that your families place? Love how it's been preserved and shinning like a new penny
