I was in the same situation last year brother. COVID was starting to become really serious and I had a lot on my mind with trying not to catch it and give it to my wife who has an autoimmune disease. Long story short I was distracted and made a huge mistake. I was honest about everything that was going on and what I was having to deal with at that moment with a contractor and they kept me around because I was honest about the whole situation. Make sure your story is straight and your honest about what happened. Honesty goes a long way. Prayers for you that all goes well. Mistakes happen we just have to learn from them and grow. God has his plan you just have to role with it.

Good luck and prayers up for a good outcome. Telling the truth, owning up for responsibility and doing the right thing hopefully let’s you get out in front of this issue.
The company I retired from would terminate you almost immediately if you were caught in a lie trying to cover a mistake up. In other situations I have seen where an honest mistake cost millions (extreme example) and other type issues but by taking responsibility owing up to the mistake it worked out for the person.
