I’m late to the party posting this but I got this dude on the morning of October 12th and this is my best bow buck to date...
It’s a “happy ending” because my son started to develop some significant health issues and I honestly didn’t know how much or if I’d even get to hunt this year. I also encountered a new pipeline just 80 yards from my set up that they decided to start clearing the opening week of bow season. Talk about a huge disappointment - I had seen some great deer on camera and I was over the moon thinking about the opportunities. Thanks to my good buddy Thad who talked me off the ledge, I kept feeding and stuck with it. So I can honestly say I’m blessed from all directions at this point and can’t wait to get this guy back from the Taxi.
I made a perfect heart shot on him at 24 yards and watched him go down less than 30 yards from my feeder. Definitely a memorable year and an even better season...
