My bride is a "1/2 tank" person- I am an "E" man. I like to challenge vehicle computers as it could well be fake data output !

            Same way here!
Mechanical/pump issues are only a small part of the problem.

            What if there's an emergency?

"Here Honey, just keep pressure on it while I stop & grab some fuel" !!!!

****** me off to no end!

And this is an ALL the time deal ! She wont fill up til the fuel alarm makes her!

Ok, back to my beer now. Carry on....

You can’t a wean a car off fuel. Might as well fill it when it’s convenient ( and cheaper) for you. Luckily my wife is about a 1/3 tank person like me.

My wife does the same thing. I complained and she said she does that to see which gas station pumps are most accurate. For years I thought she was full of it then one day I got in her car and made it to the subdivision entrance when the gas light came on (35 miles to empty). I drove 2 miles to the station and proceeded to pump 26.2 gallons of gas into her 26 gallon tank. [emoji57]

I am never in my wife’s car.

We got in last Friday to head to DFW for the weekend and:

                    - Gas tank was on E
                    - Oil change was 900 miles overdue
                    - Registration been out since Jan 2020
                    - Passenger rear tire was 12psi low

I just buckled up and drove. It wasn’t worth the argument lol!!

Mine thought “E” meant enough! Here’s a funny one. She tried to get in my truck with the door opener. Well, the opener hadn’t worked in years so she hollers at me. “I can’t get in”! I hollered back “use the key”! Technology. What’s a man to do?

Thats my truck...i enjoy strategically planning my drives to pull in to the gas station just as the light comes on.....everytime.
Every once in a while i will go well beyond the light to see if Tacoma has a secondary audible chime or something when you get down to 5 miles remaining...but always give up and pull in before that

My family relys on your vehicle's fuel pump failing. Thank you for doing the Lord's work.
