I’ve run into them multiple times out there. Talked to one for a while and he caught a guy dragging out a 10 point out one night and the guy only had a general permit. Said it was a dandy buck too. They’re always on the lookout around there.

Last year, they caught an older lady hunting hogs with an AR-15. Obviously that's illegal but she also didn't have a Vine permit or hunting license. She got a bunch of tickets. I'll bet it's comical how many people break the rules out there.

I've been keeping an eye on the place, and its starting to hold water. I didn't grab a waterfowl permit this year, but with the flooded fields it looks like duck hunting is going to be prime.

I kill bucks not ducks. [emoji23] man I killed so many birds off of the Rio grande in New Mexico I literally lost interest. I'm just hoping for a cold season this year. Early rutt activity should start any week.
