Default I知 sorry

To all those that have posted on here with your truck buried to the frame in the mud, asking for help.. I知 sorry. I read the thread and while I didn稚 laugh at your misfortune, I wondered to myself how in the world did you get into that mess.

Well this afternoon I learned how it happens. I知 not asking for help because it痴 on its way first thing in the morning, I just wanted to say I知 sorry I doubted y誕ll. I知 now a member of the 屠ust cause you can walk over it doesn稚 mean you can drive over it club. Been digging for since 7:15, just getting worse. Finally just walked back to camp and plopped down in the recliner.

I really thought the Dumb*** moments were behind me

Just walked a mile and a half back to camp with nothing but a phone charger, pair of shorts, and two beers. Had a blow out on the way south from San Antonio, now this. Should have given it a week since the rain Monday.

Could've been worse, could have had the wife sitting next to you saying we're gonna get stuck if you drive out there... while ignoring her and driving on out in it anyway. Next thing you get to hear is her say "we're stuck, aren't we?" As you reply no we aren't stuck just didn't think we needed 4wd, and then need 4wd with more skinny pedal application, then some quick forward to reverse maneuvers and more skinny pedal, so on & so forth until your door handle deep & saying now we are stuck while crawling out the windows and getting to hear " I told you we were going to get stuck, blah, blah, blah" for the next 3 days as she posting it on the book of faces and tells everyone what a total dumb a** she is married to. Nah, we ain't been there ;•}

You spend enough time off the beaten path and your going to get stuck from time to time, we've all been there brother and I know it isn't funny at the moment but we're waiting for the pics so we can laugh with you once your back on solid ground.
Lucky for me I get to give it back occasionally because my wife sticks trucks and equipment almost as much as i do and while she is definitely harassing me she'll be right there digging, pulling straps, working the farm jack or whatever until we're outta the muck.

The important lesson to learn here is that if you drink those beers on the way back to camp the amount you have to carry is much lighter.

Yep been there also, my buddy and I buried his truck years back. We were the only ones at the lease, we had to call his grandpa who was 2.5 hours away for help. He’s on the lease as well. We were in our early 20’s an thought we knew everything. That day was miserable…

Man you need some more meat on those tires! I’ve had to hear it from my dad several times too. The late night predator hunts and getting stuck were the worst.

Done that more times than I want to think about. Have learned since when to call it quits and just go get some help before sinking any deeper, thus making the recovery easier.

Looks like that worthless "nerf bar"/running board/step hung you up

Rip them off this week and get some more aggressive tires and try again next week

Been there before. I even stuck a tractor trying to get my truck out. Took a couple of days and a lot of digging but was able to get someone with a winch out there and was able to get both out.

LOL, we all do it buddy. We laugh at those who seem to do silly stuff or so we think but all it takes is one moment of misfortune. I get stuck pretty often checking properties but I keep equipment scattered around so it’s not a big deal..

I buried one yesterday along with a trailer loaded with 30,000 pounds of feed on it that took an excavator to get it out. Sometimes we simply have to go for it and hope for the best…

That痴 what my gut keeps telling me !

As to getting stuck, I致e been there and done that ! Dozers, backhoes, trackhoes, motor graders, trucks, pickups, and probably some I致e forgotten ! My saving grace, (if there is one) is I have pulled out many more than have pulled me. In the old days rigging up in the oil patch was a muddy, sometimes bloody affair, so I got plenty of practice pulling folks. I ain稚 fixin to laugh at someone for getting stuck..maybe.

Man I was on the front frame with one tire off the ground and my back right was off the ground. As soon as I壇 dig one hole it would fill up with gumbo. Sucks quite a bit. Might be time to bite the bullet and get a buggy
