Well I heard rumors that was going to happen and now it has. I'm actually about 5 miles outside of this Zone but I'm sure it's going to expand. Be sure to read all your lease mates know about this.

I’m just outside if this in Kent county. Gonna see most all the game wardens at the First Responders Youth Dove Hunt next weekend. Biologist was there last year, gonna pick their brains some and see if they think we should check ours too.

Still not sure what this weather is going to do this weekend but I'll be in the stands Saturday regardless. Going to throw out some seeds in case the moisture hangs around.

Tore the doves up this past weekend at the water tank. Starting to get a little drier than it has been. Saw a few deer.

I'm really glad to seeing this thread named this. Jody came out to our camp just west of Shamrock and hung out one night. He was one of the kindest hearted men I've ever met. One of our hunters came in from E. Tx and I think she wanted to hunt prairie dogs more than deer lol. One call to Jody and they had a place for her to work on some dogs. We stayed in contact right up until the end. He will **** sure be missed!

Cams are showing some decent bucks since the weather cooled. No giants yet but a couple of really old ones that will probably get it if they hang around. Dove season was an absolute success. We absolutely hammered them every trip. Looking forward to another year with you boys and girls!

Clark, our camp is in a new location. Shoot me a txt when you get around to it and I'll
let you know where we're at.

Of course they decided to replace the bridge on the only decent Road into my place this week. There's another way to get in but it is Highly Questionable with the moisture we might have tonight and tomorrow. What a bummer.

I got to meet Jody about 7-8 years ago when we tracked a buck for his son. We started dark-early in the morning, and Jody had to go to work, so his son and I followed the dogs a to plum thicket less than a half mile away and found the buck. I do love that big smile, but he was a little disappointed because we got done in time for him to go to school. Superbly nice young man.

Sorry, to hear about the loss of Jody and his wife.

Close to McLean deer action has been really good this year. Seeing more buck in September then we usually do and that’s with running fewer cameras.

Axel and I are headed to Shamrock on opening weekend. My dad is going to drive over from Louisiana and hang out with us. We will definitely be thinking of Jody.

Jody text me this picture on the 25th of November from his most recent hunt. RIP my friend.

Hunted Friday night, between me and a buddy saw 20+ bucks. Saturday night neither of saw a single buck and cameras showed same tonight. Think the heat up slowed movement to a crawl.

Overall been a pretty good season for seeing deer and mature bucks just haven't seen the ones we want! Lol target buck disappeared a week before bow season started and haven't seen him since. The others are still around just usually where we aren't. Have a ton in the 4-5year old range that are gona get a pass and see what they do next year. Hoping for some good rain this spring snd summer again. We are seeing 4-5 bucks ever sit and plenty of does. Had 9 in the pen the other evening.

Congrats to your boy, Mike!

Been watching cameras and have seen a metric ton of mature donkey does and only a few mature bucks, but they haven't been very impressive thus far. However, I typically don't start seeing the big boys until that first week of November.

Looking forward to my first sit!
