I remember doing a javelina hunt in my early teens with dad and about 400 other bowhunters… it was either the Chap or the Callaghan.

Bowfishinf fool, I must have been at the Callaghan. Hunt at Lapryor has only been going a few years. Texas Shoot-Out was at Callaghan, went for 25 yrs plus there, great hunt.

That’s what it was called! we all camped at a central location and were given a unit to hunt… I ended up shooting a couple dozen bullfrogs in a stock tank with my bow [emoji1787] the life of a 13 year old.


I’d love some info on this hunt if someone wants to share

Far too many people when we attended it two years ago, the “ party” was good, the hunting not so much. To far to drive and too expensive for us to travel that far just to “ party”.

I hunt with some guys for javis and hogs every year. This coming March we are going to the Callaghan ranch somewhere. Is it any good? Sounds like yall have hunted there before.
