Swaro EL vs. Leupold VX5HD

I know they aren’t apples to apples, but always been a Leupold fanboi.

I do recognize the quality of the Swaro EL’s though.

Anyone actually fun both and have objective opinions on on how they compare?

Not interested in any other setups at this point.

I can't give a opinion on the Swarovski, but i just bought the Leupold VX 5HD 3-15x44 scope. It is the nicest scope i have ever owned and cant wait to buy another

I’ve got a set of NL’s and Leopold BX-4’s. Not even the same ballpark, but for Texas deer hunting the BX-4’s are more than you would ever need.

Leica Trinavoids was also recommended. I would imagine this is on par with the BX-5HD?

Swaros are always worth the money in big country. The only binos that come close is the Leicas. Glass wise the swaro is superior. If you can swing it, do it. Leupold isn’t even in the same league. Not saying there’s not quite a few options that will serve you well, just not swaro level glass and clarity.

Leupold is at best Japanese glass.

It can’t compete with European glass.

And I am a Leupold fan.

While I have never looked through a set of BX5’s; I own a pair of BX4’s and when I looked through those Swaro NL’s I knew I was buying them before I heard the price. Swaro glass is unmatched. For western hunting I wouldn’t want anything else if given a choice.
