I found this on the ground yesterday in my woods. Weve a mess of Red Shouldered Hawks and Owls, some Red Tailed Hawks and some Rio Grandes nearby.

Im hoping yall say Rios...

I'm gonna agree with "Bird Feather". I've seen hundreds of them and that definitely came off of a bird.

Some of youse guys are funny. I bet yall smell funny too.

I was figuring this bird feather was off the tail end...being its blunted and not pointed. My mental hasty hawk ID guide is if its got a striped rear...its a red shouldered hawk. Red Tailed Hawks have...wait for it...red tail feathers... but some do have some barred feathers along the body.
