Ideas for a mouse proof camp grill?

Wife won’t eat out of my deer camp grill...mice have been crapping and nesting in it. Guess it’s time for a new grill. Ideas how to keep mice out? Don’t want to have to build a mouse proof shed for the grill...but it may come to that.

I built a wood pit out of pipe that they can't get into.

Leave the lid open and put plastic snakes in and around it

Hose it out and light a hot fire in it and get to cooking. Put out some PB&j for everyone that doesn't like it.

They’d get eaten by the yotes and owls.

Moth balls or scented lavender dryer sheets.

Turn it upside down if feasible

Put a cover over it and bunch it up around the bottle with a rope.

Do you like the grill you have now? Have you thought about just getting a new wife instead?

Mine wouldn’t eat out of it either, I’ve learned to hide those kind of things quick.

I had good luck mouse proofing our trailer this year by putting 18” flashing around the whole **** thing and burying it about 2”.
