I know it's $500 per child but I have a 89 yr old mom that is my dependent, will I get the $500 for her?

Kids under 17. She would get her own check I would think, if she filed taxes.

Thanks and I didn't think I would but she ask so I thought I better find out. And no she doesn't file a return.

How does it use 2019 taxes when a lot of us haven't even filed yet?

Edit: never mind I read it again

I get it, but I would gladly trade the cash for 2018 to have been better.

Yup. Didn't even have to open the link to know we aren't getting a dime. Last I heard the cut off was $150K in income for married/jointly. There are a lot of people paycheck to paycheck over this limit. In short, you can work minimum wage and pay minimum to no taxes (with earned income/child tax credits etc.) and get paid "stimulus" money; however, if you make over the threshold amount you don't get anything. Government by the people. . .
