Default Online banks or high interest savings

Anyone use one? Thinking of using Ally.

High yield savings is .5% right now. Much better off putting that money in a money market or look into index funds.

I have started using blockfi and Gemini. Getting over 7% interest on USD. Gemini compounds daily!

Probably a small maximum balance, no jumbos.

Its based on crypto currency. Not likely anything you would want your money in. The higher risk crypto pays the highest interest.

no, unfortunately it's not FDIC insured. I have them connected to my checking account and make recurring deposits, quick and easy. Working very well, making 100's of dollars a month vs the 20 cents at the old bank.
