    Bullet Tajectory - Shorter Distance

    Below is the chart.
    25.06
    117 gr.

If I'm an inch high at 100, where will it be (roughly) at 40 or 50??

To be an inch high at 100, it seems the barrel is ever so slightly elevated. If this is correct, I believe you'll be a bit less than 1" high at 40-50. No, didn't sleep at Holiday Inn last night so take this for what it's worth!

According to this, if they’re using a 200 yard zero, you’d be about 1/4 inch high at 40 yards with that round.

somewhere right around 40-50 would be your first zero.

and if you're an inch high at 100 your second zero is around 175 yds.

Depends on how high your center of scope from center line of bore is. I bet you going to be low at 40 .

                  I say 1/4 low at 40.

I’d shoot it at that distance and know for sure. Too many variables otherwise. Most likely an inch low.

May sound crazy, but it all depends if your zero is in the rise or fall of the bullets arc. I sighted a .223 in at 30ish yards to get on paper. Was dead on at 30,but 6" low at 100. Sighted in at 100, then shot again at 30. Still dead on.

bullet is rising at 30 dead on no matter what

I shoot the same round and my gun is 2 1/2” High at 100 yards. My wife shot buck week of thanksgiving at 25 yards and hit exactly where she was aiming.

At that distance I’m not sure what the concern is.

                            Close enough to zero.

When in doubt, zero at 25
