    Good truck tires ~$150 each?

    Don't say NittoTerraGrappler.
First blow-out was on a 3yo tire. Tread worn past warranty. Not horrible.
Second blow-out was on a 2 day old tire!
They are priced at 148 a piece, at Walmart. Any suggestions on a different brand?

Worst part about the 2nd blow-out (other than the obvious) was that it happened at 7 this morning on I-10, nb, in San Antonio just before it crosses over 410. Heavy traffic whizzing by and a pretty narrow shoulder, which I am glad was there.
I called SAPD and they sent a safety vehicle to cover my 6. Thank you!
Best part was that I had just bought a Dewalt cordless impact, ½" drive (DCF899), discounted $50 from Tractor Supply with an additional $10 coupon.
    It came in VERY handy!

    Anyway. Tire recommendations?

Cooper is the only way to go.

If you had a blowout on a 2-day old tire, they will replace it.

Don't buy tires at Walmart. Discount tire is the way to go. In my humble opinion....

Probably overinflated. Sam's did it once to me on a brand new set on my Tundra. Taking my wife, and baby home on I-35. Dang near ran into the ditch. They replaced the tires.

Don't laugh but check out Falken Wild Peak AT3W. I haven't found a better bang for the buck in an all-terrain yet. I ran Toyo and Nitto for a long time. I put 50,000 on last set before selling a truck and they were wearing great. The were quiet, looked good, and performed great on wet roads and mud.

Hankook, I've had a set of these for a couple of years and I'm not sure I'll ever wear them out.

Toyo has earned my money the past 10 years.

                          I agree.

                            Toyo, Cooper, Falken….take your pick.

There is nothing wrong with Nitto tires though. There are millions of sets out there being run by people with zero complaints. You’ll never know if there was something wrong with the tire or you ran over something.

x3 on Falken. Went with Toyos when I went E rated this go round due to weight between them and Falken E rated. Had Falken P rated on my Tundra and for what I paid they were pretty good.
