    Creaking bow

My bow makes a creaking noise halfway through the draw cycle. Every bolt is tight and it's not the cable slide or arrow rest. My guess is I need to grease the limb pockets. If so what type of grease?

I had a Hoyt Charger that would do that.

Had to take the bow apart and put wax where the riser met the limbs.

I had a Heli-m that did the same thing. Took it to the shop and they took it down cleaned and lubed the limb pockets and I have had no more problems with it.

It's probably not this, but any chance the string has too much wax? My bow was making a creaking sound half-way through the draw and someone mentioned over-waxing. I ran my fingers down the string and only had small amounts of wax come off, but the sound went away. An easy fix to check. Good luck with it.

                Creaking bow

Ease out on limb pocket bolts a tad. Had a PSE that did same thing until I was advised to back em out

When they go to creaking, the end is near.

Sprayed the limb bolt and pocket area with rem oil. Working for now

                        Pulling your leg.
I would take it apart and lube.

Both my primary and backup have had this issue--both were broken down, cleaned, lubed and have been fine for about 2 years now.

Can be the axel and cam. Especially if there are bushings and not bearings.

Ok so it still creaks. I took it completely apart and greased limb pockets, limb bolts, and the axles. Better but still not silent. Going to bow shop tomorrow to see if they are smarter than I am...if that doesn't work time for a new bow!
