wmv video So you want a 50 Cal HUH? Unbelievable video...THIS GUY SHOULD BE DEAD 😳😳

A friend sent me this. Iíve watched a few of this guyís videos but not lately. Letís just say heís lucky to still be with us. Just WOW!

You wonít believe it. Lacerated jugular, punctured lung. Put on a ventilator while still awake. Intubated through his ribs while still awake. Not to mention....good eye Pro is recommended. Just incredible.
God still has plans for Scott. He apparently has some work left to do here on earth.

I watched this video today driving back home from SA(I wasnít actually driving)
I have never seen this guy before but he was lucky Iíd you can say that. It was very well done. Fortunate also that someone, in this case his dad there to get him to the hospital. Stick a thumb in it.

It does cross my mind when I shoot mine. My load uses 230 grains of powder behind a 750 bullet. Thereís a whole lot of shaking going on when you touch a round off.

Wow! If I was guessing I would say that round was loaded with the wrong powder. Or somehow some powders got mixed together. It might could be determined from lab tests on the powder residue from inside the chamber as to what propellant composition was used. Guy should buy a lotto ticket fo sho.

I remember when those Serbu's came out, and I though that it was a weak design. I know that the round was the issue, but I'm not getting behind a riffle like that one.

Very alarming either way.

To say that ammo measurements of that magnitude have to be checked and double checked is an understatement. Precise tolerances and discipline are a must since you are dealing with scary high pressures with little room for error.
After watching this...if I couldnít hand load my own, I think Iíd take a hard pass if I couldnít trust the source of the ammo.

Super lucky Guy.
Training works for saving lives. I especially like how he treated himself for shock by calling the ambulance.

Put a thumb in it. (That is going into the file for kiddo training...its not just for gouging soft tissue and pressure points...well kinda... a different facet of pressure point application.)

It definitely paid for him to have the knowledge of what to do as well as keeping a level head during that ordeal. I assume any hesitation or panic by either him OR his dad in that situation would have probably cost him his life.

This. Sometimes I think about randomly coming across a TBH thread where I watch a video or read something super informative. Lord help me if I have to apply any of that knowledge but if so, itíll be because of the OP and this video. So thanks. You can never have enough skills! God was with him for sure.

I’d buy the gun, but definitely not the round. Just sounds like you’re asking for trouble.

Interesting that before the bang he notes how different each SLAP round shoots.

Yep. I was looking at that gun, when he was showing the pieces, after the big bang. All I can say, is I would not shoot it, even if I had not seen that video. That barrel should have a lot more threads on the rear end and that cap should be deeper, basically there's not enough threads on there for me to pull the trigger on that thing, definitely not, knowing it is going to set off a 50 BMG. F that. Then the receiver, only has two thing tangs behind that cap, yep not me. If I designed a 50 caliber zip gun, that thing would have a much beefier receiver, with a solid thick piece of metal directly behind the barrel cap. So in the case, that the cap does blow off the end of the gun, it's not going to come straight back at my face. It should get deflected upwards.

I have shot old 30-06 ammo military surplus ammo from either WW I or WW II, pretty sure it was from the 1940s. There was some armor piercing ammo in the box that the ammo came in. It was just old loose ammo in a cardboard box. That stuff was loaded hot, had some pretty stout recoil for a 30-06.

I am glad the guy survived, and seems like he is going to recover. Good thing for him he was wearing safety glasses, something I have never done. I would never have shot that rifle, but I have fired old military ammo, out of a old military rifle. I can tell you I was quite nervous about doing so.

The SLAP round he mentions blowing up in the gun is meant for an M2 machine gun not shoulder fired rifle. They’re meant to punch through light armor and be an anti-material round. They only come linked and if you buy one individually it has been delinked from a belt.

I wondered what a SLAP round was? Other than you pull the trigger and you get SLAPped!
