I would put Murry over Tua because he did play all 4 quarters most of the time. Being protected is understandable but Tua didn't put himself out there like Murray. Just my thoughts. Both are very worthy of the award

It pains me at times to say it, but Kyler is a great athlete and his team would not win without him unlike Alabama.

I heard Jimbo allude to the extra practice time after becoming bowl eligible and again after invitations were accepted. I'm sure he'll make sure seniors (and underclassmen that declare early) get plenty of game action, but is there a specific effort to "reward" those players with a little extra rest during practices while getting more reps for next season's likely contributors?

Most bowl practices the 2's and 3's will scrimmage a lot and get more reps through the drills. From the bowl practices I have been apart of it is split about 50/50 based on upcoming opponent and future program players.

The bowl games are a reward for the season, so the practices are lighter. Now that was with Mack Brown and the Country Club he ran.

It is official, the 3 finalist going to NY are Tua, Kyler, and Haskins.

From twitter....

With Tua, Kyler and Haskins named as the 2018 Heisman finalists, a QB will win the award for:

- the 3rd consecutive year
- the 8th time in the last 9 years
- the 11th time in the last 13 years
- the 16th time in the last 19 years

I remember the two years in the last 13 that a QB didn't win. Grrrrrrrr.

Tua vs Murray is ridiculous. They are both fantastic college qbs. I bet Riley would take Tua in trade for Murray, and I bet Bama would still be 12-0 with Murray. It's a toss up, but I'd give the edge to Murray, being objective.

I hate to use surrounding cast to break a tie, but we've seen Kyler carry a team. And I believe Bama could win with a lesser qb than any mentioned.

I like the hell out of Grier, myself...and that kid at Penn St was bad *** in the game I saw.

Lost Houston out of OKC.

Canít blame him with other commits and the possibility of LJH and CJ coming back. Still sucks.

Likely headed to Ou

Did nobody watch Tua play against Mississippi State? That was certainly NOT a heisman performance and I’d take Murray over Tua any day of the week and twice on Saturday. Murray is the Heisman and anyone that honestly thinks otherwise is biased or is out touch with college football.

Kyler is definitely the best player in the heisman race . Just about any decent QB could win with that Alabama team thatís been proven through the years ..

The Heisman race will be close. It is all a fashion show. Tua has been hyped for over 11 months by the press and ESPN. Might be hard to un-brainwash some of the voters and get them to vote for Murray. Murray is the better player but that doesn't always mean much.

The one that Texas cares about (WR from Lake Travis) just tweeted he is 1000% committed. I read that Coach Day is his lead recruiter, so no surprise this does not change his status at Ohio State. He is a special talent and I sure wish he would have a change of heart.

Pay attention, Ag...

Tech has lost several after the coaching change (I assume some may re-commit.)

Meyer will coach the bowl and Day takes over January 2nd, according to ESPN. No need for an interim after the bowl game. "Naming Day as Meyer's successor shows a commitment to continuity with the staff for 2019 and beyond." Sounds like it's been in the works for at least a few weeks.

Supposedly Meyer is set to have brain surgery for the cyst...prayers for him

Tua will win it...its a lock.

Georgia is the 2nd best team in the country....ND or OU should have been left out...

How can you have 5 power 5 conferences and have to leave 1 or 2 out each year...its just stupid. Go to a 8 team playoff and be done with it. THE MONEY IS THERE

Haskins, Grier, and Gardner will be the top 3 QBs in the NFL draft...

I really hope Haskins comes back , but I think he is done....
But Martell is sitting back waiting...

One question- How can the 4 best teams in the country have the largest point spreads ever for the playoffs games?

UGA had their playoff. They lost. A rematch would be just plain dumb. Two loss teams do not qualify over a one loss conference champ. Only one two loss champ ever. Never one in the playoff. It's not rocket science.

Cool, I spent a couple days there watching practice Mack's 1st spring which I believe was 98. The old coaches at that time called it a country club, I heard it really was toward the end.

It happens in conference championship games occasionally...yes, in your beloved SEC also. It would have been worse had WVU not lost to Okie Lite and them and OU played back to back weeks. It can be avoided in the playoff.

Tell me this......if UGA got in and then beat Bama, they would have split head to head but UGA had 2 losses and Bama only one. Why would UGA win in that scenario?
