I was not a Kyler Murray fan and was glad he went to A&M instead of Texas. Thought he was too small and overrated. I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. Kid can play and OU would not be where they are without him. I'm not sure they would have won 7 games if he was not the QB. He is still a P****, but he deserves the Heisman. Hurts proved Bama can win without Tua. Can't say the same thing about OU without Murray.

I'll be honest, I was wrong about Murray too. After reading a piece Jake Hubenak (ex-Aggie QB) wrote this summer, my thoughts on his departure from TAMU changed quite drastically. Sumlin had a screwed up QB room and it isn't surprising after all why he bailed. I think Murray's biggest problem (attitude) has been nurtured by his father. His athletic ability is off the chart. I think he thrust himself into the middle of the Heisman race, unfortunately I think most voters have already filled out their cards for Tua.

I havenít watched enough Tua to make an informed decision but from what I read, Kyler should win it.

If he doesnít, I wonít lose any sleep.

I keep hearing people say that Tua rarely played the 4th qtr or his stats would be better.

According to announcers during games on Saturday, there were more voters that HAD NOT VOTED as of Saturday than there had been in the past. If that is the case, Murray should win and he should win anyway. Like others have said, like him or not, without Murray, OU i not even in the discussion in the playoffs and without Tua, Bama still won.

Good deal for Joe Jon.

Take away all of Kylers fourth quarter stats and he is still better. Not bad for a midget retread.

So who is the guy for OU next year? One of the reasons the O is so good is Oline and talent at the skill positions. Murray has been stellar for sure but they gotta have some other good ones, no?

Put me on Team Kyler for the Heisman.

I'm surprised they picked OU over Georgia when considering who is likely the better team, but a Georgia/Alabama rematch in any way is counter to the entertainment value of CFB.

Austin Kendall, Tanner Mordecai, and the freshman coming in #1 dual threat Spencer Rattler.

They need to lose the "4 best teams" thing. UGA lost it's playoff game. There is also the 2 loss thing and a 20 point loss. Adios. Maybe next year.

Did I miss something. So you are bitter because a rival's qb didn't praise your qb?

Can you say something good about OU right now? haha

Well, this should help our cause New Years Eve. I hate this trend but understand it at the same time. He and God obviously didnít think this through enough. His draft position would get better playing our secondary.

No. I'm not. I just pointed out that he was incorrect. That is what the other poster was referring to.

I have already said congrats on the win and the committee got it right. No comment, lol, on who I think will win vs Bama. See my comment below as well.

I like our guy. Sam is a class act and a stud. Two more years. Check out his presser from after the Big 12 Championship.

With Murray and that O the Sooners have a shot. The D has made some game winning plays the last two weeks.

I work in SE Oklahoma everyday. I’ve sat at the country club bar in Idabel and heard the OU faithful ***** about replacing Mayfield. After seeing Murray in high school, I told them there wouldn’t be much of dropoff if any this season. That kid can play football, no doubt about it.

I have seen Murray play a lot more than Tua, but I would still vote it Murray and then Tua. Of course it pains me to say that as well, but the kid is a hell of a player. I remember posting on TBH that I hoped he played college football and did not go in the draft out of high school because I wanted to see his talent on this level. He has exceeded my expectations and now please go play baseball.

Not blinded, Murray is good although I hate his attitude I believe Tua is the best player in college football.
Murray was asked to do me because he had to.

I think Bama drops a game if Tua doesnít start all year. Hurts is good but he canít stretch the field was Tua.

One of the benefits of bowl invitations often cited by coaches is the extra 15 practices to help prepare for the future. Of course, I'm sure most coaches want to reward seniors for their contributions to the program and, naturally, everybody wants to win. With those things in mind, I'm curious how much practice time is dedicated to working in underclassmen and installing new packages for the following season as opposed to preparing for the specific bowl opponent? I heard Jimbo allude to the extra practice time after becoming bowl eligible and again after invitations were accepted. I'm sure he'll make sure seniors (and underclassmen that declare early) get plenty of game action, but is there a specific effort to "reward" those players with a little extra rest during practices while getting more reps for next season's likely contributors?

Why does Haskins get no love? His passing stats are the better of the 3. Murray edges him barely in total yards and touchdowns. I think it should be between them two. Tua was getting killed and had to be saved by Hurts.
