2018 Wilbarger, Archer, Wichita, Foard, Knox, Jack, Montague, Hardeman, Haskell,Throckmorton, Young, Wise , Baylor Counties Thread!
We just got our feeders rolling. Sure hope we start getting some rain. Maybe the heat has killed all the army worms

Lots of good deer let go from last year. Be fun to see if they show up when it gets really cold.

I just got my 3 feeders up and running Saturday. The lease I’m on divides both Jack and Young counties. A couple of guys have cameras up and have been feeding quite a bit. I know bucks are still in bachelor groups, but, lots of good pics of multiple bucks hanging around. Getting a little more excited now, despite the heat

This is the 2nd year for our area thread. Dont really know where to stop or start it by counties. Naming it is weird too. Northcentralwest?
Found this 7 yards from a bow blind during the 2nd youth weekend last year. It scored 84. We saw him several times with no shots. His other side only had 1 split.

Any of yall up in our area want some PROJECT box blind frames(4) most are 4x6, some with legs, a 10 ft tower frame with box frame on top. (3) 10 foot tall blinds made of old road construction materials. ALL NEED WORK and disassembling. You can keep all rattlers, scorpions, black widows and wasp you find. 5 bags of corn per item taken sounds good.
I dont have any pictures. They are PROJECTS but if you dont have any they will make nice blinds. We are to lazy to do the work. They are located 25 minutes NW of Wichita Falls.

I lost my lease in Palo Pinto a couple years ago. I am looking for a year-round lease in this area. I can fill three spots maybe more maybe less if needed. Please let me know if anything is available. Thanks!

Were going out the next weekend to do the same.
Don't know if you knew. I moved to Lawton Oklahoma, so I am only 1:10 from the lease. Sure beats 3:30

I was out there last week with the skid steer leveling a pad and cleaning up camp. Our new carport/party porch gets delivered and installed tomorrow. Thank the lord, no more tarps and tent shades.

Blair and Snoop are coming out Saturday afternoon to try to get his first Haag.

I’m sure a lot of y’all guys know but if you are looking for some good grub in quanah area . The old Bank saloon in quanah has some of the best steaks grilled chicken and pork chops that will compete with any big name steak house I promise and also has a full bar !!

Been feeding year round. Lots of deer. Pretty nice bucks tearing up the protein as usual. They about to go back up the creek for most of the season though. Some will pass through occasionally but all will be back just like years past. No hunting pressure. It is what it is and pigs will die.

I'm in Wise and Montague. Not a lot of pics of bucks but I did have a cam get knocked around and then the batts died. Need to get out this weekend and pull cards and see what's up. Need to clean some shooting lanes and check out all stands.

I'm in Young County. Checking in.

Place is dry and the deer are hammering protein right now. They went from eating 300 - 600 pounds a month to 188 pounds A DAY average in July and August.

Filling feeders this weekend to start throwing corn. Running three cameras now on the protein stations and have some good bucks showing up. Have one monster that passed through my place but seems to live on the neighbors place because he has pics of him on the regular on his protein stations.

Yes that’s the name of it . It’s just past the town square going north on highway 6 it is on the east side of the road if you are headed north sets on a corner lot !!

Back in college I use to hunt in that area. I went to school with some folks up that way. While they have moved on I am still trying to get Shane Sloan (if you don't know him he is one of the best knife makers around and one hell of a character ) to find me a lease up that way. I would love to get back to that part of the world.

Were 15 miles Southwest of Electra. Our pumper told me today on the phone he has seen plenty of birds. He is my animal barometer being out there 6-7 days a week. I am headed that way in a couple of hours.

Just made it back from our new lease in Baylor county. Set up several new feeders and got cameras rolling. We’re on the Brazos and have no idea if what to expect.

Just got back from Wilbarger county. IT RAINED for 15 minutes. We will take it. Got all feeders working. All pens fixed. All blinds cleaned out and de bugged.

We had to retrieve (roll) this hay ring blind back home. It had blown 200 yards over the top of a feeder pen on our place. Then over the neighbors fence and 150 yards onto their place thru some pretty thick mesquites. The coroplast didn't even have a hole in it. The roof was still on it.
We did anchor it down this time.

Not many dove to report.

Come on October!
