Hell if you truly look at the conference games won and lost, up until this year, if not for Arkansas, you were the SEC's Kansas. Of course you are going to think all your games in conference are tough. Kansas thinks all the Big 12 games are tough too. Hell you were the Big 12's Kansas for a decade before you left. I wouldn't be bashing other teams that have a history of finishing low in their conference just because yall have had one good year in conference recently. It's all about perspective..

Not where we want to be but don't think we were the SEC's Kansas

Thank you for proving my point......even Kansas has won a few games through the years and made a BCS bowl and won. There are outliers even for Kansas like teams..

Well we donít have to win, we get credit for being on the field with them. Then get to celebrate in their success in the end. Pretty sweet deal!

But not without some improvements like 1) $500 mil stadium renovation 2) $75 mil new coach 3) culture change to increase physicality 4) revamped physical makeup of team . . "It's not like it used to be" . . It just means more . .

Didn't we find out already that an 8-4 SEC team couldn't hang with an 8-4 Big 12 team?

And a 7-5 SEC team couldn't hang with a 7-5 ACC team?

Ouch!

Texas A&M has won 11+ games 4 times in school history (1894)

Texas has won 11+ games 10 times in school history (1893)

Oklahoma has won 11+ games 14 times since 2000, when they last won a National Title. 24 times since (1895)

Say it ain't so Pooka …. Kid could be a 1 and done due to his poor choices off the field

arrested for suspicion of domestic battery …. No Bond set
Will be interesting to see how Les and Kansas handle the outcome and discipline.
Sadly some kids are their own worst enemy by reacting and not thinking the outcome of their actions.

It varies from year to year Brock. The Big 12 was expected to go 3-5 last year. Went 5-3. The SEC was expected to go 5-4 last year and went 4-5. Itís all about matchups.

This was an entertaining post from a Sooner, except the Sooners donít field much for defense.

IMO that's a dumb comparison or analogy by Sooner b/c they rank 91st in opponent yards per play allowed.

Oklahoma's only hope is they will have more possessions than Bama and outscore them 48-45. Saban has 1 month to prepare as OK will have to shock the world and pull a Buster Douglas. I'm pulling for the Sooners since I want the SEC to lose every game except 1

LOL I had to look it up to see if I was missing something. I guess OU's 91st rank in opponents yards/play will really be the test.

Edit: I guess that was from after week 8, here is current.

Missouri-61st
Arkansas-99th
A&M-72nd
Tennessee-74th
Ark St.-64th
Ole Miss-109
Louisville-125

LSU-27th
Miss st.-2nd
Citadel-?? 999th maybe
Auburn-46
Georgia-29

Its a crap statistic IMO. It doesn't take into account very much. Like what about a defense that is on the field for a low number of plays. Giving up one or two big (long distance) plays distorts this stat more. I don't care where ATM is listed, they field a much better defense (especially run and points allowed) than they have in previous years.

I hadnít read that. Seems foolish to have that in contract because if OU wanted to poach him from some school, they would no matter the buyout.

I'm actually pretty surprised the Big 12 finished with 2 in the top 34 for total defense since they field 5 of the top 36 in total offense 4 of which are in the top 12.

Once again TCU fielded the best statistical defense in the Big 12.

Matchups and who is taking the game seriously, coaching changes, kids sitting out, etc...

The non playoff bowl games are losing some of their luster. I would like to see this playoff expanded to 8 for the competition.

Yep. The landscape is changing in a hurry. It used to be about getting the bowl swag, team and going out with a W. Those days are over. It's all about that bag.

Iowa State, Texas gave up way too much on the field. Texas needs to be inside the top 50, they finished 68th I believe. I think Top 50 is reasonable (formula to win inside and out of the conference) in the Big 12 if your offense can produce.

Reading that KState wouldnít allow him to clean house and bring his whole staff. Most likely because of Snyderís son on staff.

Well that's a problem. That's what needs to be done. No plug in play coach. I guess the son assumes he should have been HC in waiting
