I researched quite a bit before buying the US Automatics one. They seem to be of great quality and made here in Texas so that was a win/win. It was between that one and an Apollo.

I appreciate it. Speaking of the entrance we are running power down to it today for entrance lights. Should look great at night.

And the pond is coming along. Just sucks we went into this dry spell. Hopefully one, or both of the storms heading our way help to top it off. lol

I appreciate it man. The rain should hit us around Tuesday based on the forecast. We all know how that can go though. I need it to rain a lot but dont need the wind that comes along with it.

Got the outside wall finished up and the inside is ready for furniture now.

Also dumped 28 tons of chicken litter on my place and tilled it in to give the ground some nutrients. We then spread 350 lbs of rye grass seed for now and will go back in the spring and plant Bermuda. This rye will provide us with at least some grass until the spring.

Not that it matters, but I'm really impressed... It looks like you thought everything through, and it was well executed. One day, I hope to do something similar.

First project up is a welding table

4x8 1/2 top
4x4 3/16 square tubing
2x2 1/4 angle iron
#9 expanded metal

Should be a little over 1100 lbs when I get through with it.

Is that a freezer or refrigerator in the background? I have a 2 door Traulsen refrigerator in my shop and it keeps stuff colder and fresher longer than a regular refrigerator.

Im going to do closed cell in my shop soon, do you think 1 was enough? I have a lot of guys quoting at least 1.5? Most of them have told me I need at least 2 which I know to be bs

I believe 1 is plenty for a shop but Im sure 1.5 would be better. Its hard to say on my end because my shop doors are roll up and not panel style. Therefore I have a gap at the top that lets the heat and Cold in. But its a lot cooler in the summer for sure. It makes the building a lot more rigid feeling thats for sure.

Im no expert but according to my builder, it supposedly takes at least 1.5 closed cell to act as a true moisture/vapor barrier.
I would definitely use 2 of closed cell...at least in the roof. It will obviously help with regard to the R value and temperature standpoint as well. We went with 2 closed cell in the roof and 1 on the walls of my shop.

I havent posted in a while....works been busyI got the wife talked into to selling the house in town and moving into the shop house full time for around a year or two until we build a house out here.

Our thoughts are to sell our house in town and sit on the money until lumber gets back to somewhat normal and then build.

Also.....we have our first baby on the way and due late September so we might be cramped in 800 sq ft but I keep telling her it will be worth it when we build!

I finally got grass to grow...renting a no till drill and planting Bermuda in a couple weeks for a good perennial cover

Got the garden tilled up and ready to plant
