I've hunted cleveland with no luck. Now I'm in Somerville no luck yet. I was even told I would for sure see does. Dang the deer must know I'm a stone cold killer.

I hunted west of Jasper Tuesday afternoon through Thursday morning and didn't see anything except maybe 4 doe and a few fawns. Thursday the squirrels didn't even wake up until about 8:00.

Just seen my first 5 deer. We had 5 does at 10 yards or under with no shot opportunity. One got to close and down wind. Now I'm back to looking at the feeder

Since opening morning I've sat 8 times without seeing a deer or pig. The only thing I'm seeing is coyotes and I've killed 2 so far. Our neighbor to the north has cows dying daily. There was 3 dead yesterday with another 4 dead this morning. Something ain't right.

Been busted 3 times. Two winded me. Two saw me hanging on to a tree when the front blew through and one got me snoozing in the popup that wasn't brushed in well enough.

But I'm sittin right now so let's hope my luck changes.

I've seen deer on every sit. Shot a doe opening weekend. Could have slaughtered another one this morning 16 yards broad side for 30 minutes but didn't feel like flinging an arrow. I'll eat the first one then worry about the second one. I'm still waiting on a shooter buck. Seen some just none old enough yet. It will happen......maybe today.
