My opinion Calzada looked the best he was with the twos most of the day Against the 1s On D. If the D is as good as we think then he did a pretty good job against them . I would of liked to have seen King against the 1s .

Not if he ends up at TCU or Texas.

Trick play with a hook shot on purpose...tight end (81)wasn't where he was supposed to be. They talked about it on the broadcast.

It was a 2 point conversation play.

Put it on film so they have to prepare for it.

I know that was just a fun play for the players and fans but I noticed Thompson was under center. Did Texas run any other plays from under center?

So we're blaming the failure of that play on the TE?

Yes...It was explained that the QB dinks it over the mass of Oline and Dline (after the run fakes)to a predetermined spot that the TE is supposed to be at....and he wasn't there. Like Heath said it was a trick play for a 2 point conversion that the announcers said they saw them working on before the game. Of course the defense they practice it against is going to be aware. I'd imagine somebody that didn't know it was coming would play run and the TE would be wide open like on the jump passes..

That you're defending the play call is almost as embarrassing as the play call...

However it's not near as embarrassing as you questioning a playcaller that hung 47 and 52 on yall.... As far as defending it, I'll defer to Sark and his guys on the playcalling and timing..

I think it will be positive. This is his second chance set up at a blue blood school after coming off a legend's staff, I don't remember that ever happening before. Seems he's grateful for the opportunity and realizes how fortunate he is to have another try.

Per the conversation on the Horn Sarkisian didn't call that play. Something about he gave two assistants the ok to try a trick play. That one happened to be a dumb one. Lol.

Saban and Sarks last conversation.

Sark.....”Hey coach I’ve got this really cool idea of a new hook shot pass that I’ve been working on for the NCS game.

Saban....”Get that retarded **** out of here and go coach at Texas.”

If Bama rolls on with their current oc, we’ll definitively know the system is plug and play.

It is. That's part of the reason the Sarkisian hire was kinda meh at first. We'll see what he can do.

I was joking about O'Brien, not really Sark, agree we'll see how the next couple years play out. I'm pulling for him, love a good comeback story and I'm sick of the mediocrity (and worse) at UT.

I predict Bama won’t miss a beat. People fail to realize how superior their talent level is to everyone else. They make coordinators look good.

Oh we do. Not necessarily everyone. Ohio State, Georgia and Clemson are on their level talent wise. Last year Texas was 5 based on recruit rankings but I bet the gap between 4 and 5 was pretty huge.
