Just marry someone who worships the ground you walk on. Easy peasy!!!

I met my wife when she was 4 or 5 and I would have been around 9.

We started dating 15 years ago and have been married for 13 years this past Sunday. We celebrated at a crawfish boil at Curtintex house.

Yep. There's a lot of head scratching with this one.

Met my wife our last semester of college. We all had to take senior lab to graduate (electrical engineering). There was not enough room for 40 of us so we were told we would have to come back for one semester in the Summer. So while everyone else went to lab, a group of us went to the Posse East (University of Texas) and drank beer. That was the first time we met but it was not love at first sight. It was the start of a friendship. It was 3 years later before we started dating and 4 before we were married. We will celebrate 31 years come October.

That's a hard question. In the first 10 years there were two times where we almost ended it. One of those the divorce papers were written up and just needed signatures. We decided to keep working on it and have not had any major issues since. Just sticking it out and not giving up is all we did.

One of the realizations we came to, that may sound odd, is each of us would be fine without the other. That's not to say we wouldn't be devastated to lose the other. I would be in a bad place for a while no doubt, but I would be able to survive and get on with my life because of how I'm built as a person. She is the same way. Knowing that, we aren't afraid to be honest with each other about any topic.

I got married young so a lot of buddies would ask me for advice. I always tell them to not get comfortable just because you're married. Don't get complacent and lazy just because you found a woman. Keep working out, keep working hard, keep your hobbies. Being the best version of yourself takes care of a lot of issues.

Tiger you have been blessed to find a good woman. (Proverbs 31:10)

I met my wife a few months before the first Gulf War but only went out one time. Long Story Short... she wrote me everyday (pre internet/email) so that every mail call when we managed to get our mail delivered to the ship I had a stack of letters and sometime care packages. Our whole relationship took place via letters with only a couple phone calls mixed in when we were in port. I proposed over M.A.R.S. radio (Shortwave) and we were married 10 days after I got home... Monday April 26 will be 30 years happily married.

God blessed me beyond what I deserved with her.

Jesus. Keep Christ at the center of a marriage and let Him be the foundation it is built on. It 100% will not fail if He is the center of each spouses life. If the Lord is first, your spouse is second, and you are last... things will be good.

First time I saw my wife, she was working in a McDonalds Drive thru. I thought, dang she is pretty! But not my type, really. Fast forward several months. A friend invited me to church, there she was, in the worship team. Wow! I knew right then we were gonna get married. Gave my life to JESUS that night....Dec19, 1986. Shelly and I went on our first date in January, got married on June 20th. So 30plus years I have known that woman and I love her more now than the day I met her.

Met when I was in 2nd grade, started dating when I was in 9th grade and she was in the 11th, married in 92. Sheís my best friend and tolerates all my BS for reasons I will never understand. Almost lost her in August of 19 when she was in cardiac arrest for over 20 minutes, scared the he** out of me. Sheís the best person I know and makes me a whole lot better man than I know I would be without her.

Met my bride at the start of our senior year in high school. I had moved in with my oldest sister to a little redneck town west of Corpus Christi. What a culture shock, surfer dude mixed in with all Cowboys. Oh anyway back on topic. Her family lived across the street, got married at the end of that summer, be 50 years come the end of this summer. Don't sweat the little stuff and never go to bed mad or angry. It's pretty obvious, she has always been much better at these traits than I have ever been. She is such a good mom and wife. Just saying........Cc

Met in 1992, married in 1993. She is a genius, not saying that because she's my wife but she truly is, her entire family are intellectually gifted. I don't know what she saw in me but she says it was love at first site, I felt the same. Great communication and mutual respect has been keys to our success. have almost lost her a few times the last couple years but a talented team at UT Southwestern and her helping find her own diagnosis and studying her treatment options along with the Dr's have kept her here. I pray for many more years together if possible.

Saw my wife at a good friends house one night in 2005. My friend had always mentioned she had a roommate but I never saw her till that night. When I saw her I was in love, fast forward to June 2006 my friends brother was deploying and we had a dinner for him and my friends roommate ended up coming to dinner. I asked her for her number and she got that deer in the headlights look and asked “why?!”. Managed to convince her to give me her number but didn’t call her for about 6 months. I was obnoxious drinking fool and finally quit drinking and we met up one evening online and started chatting. Approximately 1 year after asking for her number we got married, it’ll be 14 yrs this June. Not always easy but we took our vows to heart and I don’t wanna do this again. Sometimes we have to agree to disagree and just continue to love one another through it.

We hired her when she was 16 to work part time as a cashier @ Norman Lumber in Granbury. She married her HS sweetheart a coupla years later & followed his military career for a few years until the marriage dissolved. By then I’d taken a management position @ another lumber yard, she got in touch with some of our old co-workers & tracked me down. I had been single for many years. We eventually spoke on the phone and decided to meet for dinner to discuss old times. We were always ONLY friends...until then. She was 26 & I was 40 when we started dating. We married a 2 years later and will celebrate our 14th anniversary in June.

Met in 1989 in college. Her car battery died and a girl brought her over to see if I could help.

Married in 1993.

Someone asked above about advice. Mine is ďremember itís not always like the movies. There will be tough days. Just donít quit.Ē

I always said I would try just about anything once.
Friday will be 38 years.
After all the ups and downs we were blessed with 3 good sons and 8 of the best grandchildren in the world.
Iím glad this came up because I might have forgot our anniversary AGAIN!
And I still might.
The first time I laid eyes on her it was love at first sight.
She was waiting on tables in a restaurant.
I like being married.
