Always sucks losing a TBH brother who was respected by the entire community. Sailor never had a bad word to say about anyone, and you could tell he was genuine and a man of great wisdom.

It's a shame we live in the greatest Country in the World and the idiots making decisions to take care of our Veterans have failed them miserably.

I went to Europe on the USS Manitowoc. It was the same ship he served on several years earlier. I think it was 1976. Unfortunately I never knew him but liked him. I feel the same way about most of the other folks on here. We laugh, celebrate, pray, and grieve for each other.
