That point is pretty old. Could be a worn down Wells but may also be Paleo. I would like to see the other.. Keep trying please.
Also. I forget what part of the state those came from?

Any ideas what these are/were etc.?
The smaller one was found in Taylor county and the larger one I assume was found in the same general area.
Pics don't show much of the work on them but they were worked.

Those were likely Pedernales points. Both are extremely worn down. Someone loved them long time.

Looks like some version of a Dove tail. Unusual for a Texas point but its possible. it looks like it has a water stain on it that would hint its legit but I just cant tell enough from pics to make a call on that one.

If he found it a thousand or so miles North, that might explain it.

Looks like a motley. I have found a good handful of them around my neck of the woods

I never considered Motley to be that fan tailed. i actually have a couple of points that are similar that i just never could name so maybe you are right.

                      Personal find frames

Here are 3 frames of mine from Washington, Webb, and LaSalle Counties. All single site frames from surface hunting. The Arenosa Langtry is from Webb County. Not sure how it got in my LaSalle county frame.

That come off of your place? I've got one that looks close to it from our place. We've found quite a few on the place and all of this rain has me wanting to go looking for more. The Lost Valley area was a big hunting area according to the history that I have read.
