    Traditional FSC Week 46

Use a straight edge, and place a small X or + at the center of an 8.5" X 11" sheet of blank white paper. If you don't want to go to the trouble of marking the paper yourself, you can print this image to scale. The + is at center.

Turn the X or + marked side of the paper away from you on your target butt where you cannot see it.

The shots are to be taken from 15 yards (any stance/position).
    7.5 yards for the kiddos.

You can shoot only one shot, or one shot a day for every day from today through Saturday. In either case, the shot must be the first shot of the day.

The closest measurement from the edge of the arrow shaft to the center of the X or + wins the call, BUT "Only Your Last Shot Counts". In other words, trying to improve on your shot might cost you, so choose wisely.

    Shoot STRAIGHT, and have FUN

I marked against, and around the shaft with a sharpie before pulling the arrow, and removing the target from the butt.

It made it easier to see where the shaft actually was. I suggest everyone do this. The sharpie line is pale on the back side, but you can see it well enough to get your measurement.

I think I'll hang on to this one for a while.

Great shot, Rick! Think I would stick with that one, too.

Nice twist with the "must-use-last-try" provision!

Nice shot Rick! You set the bar extremely high.

Never let it be said, that "I'm not a sporting feller".

Braved the wind, cold, and snow (yes snow) to take a second shot.

          Rules is rules. 1-5/8"

That's still pretty dang good, Rick! Thanks for cracking the door a little, though.

Just shot this after work. Didn't bother to measure, so I can reuse the set-up. Okay on elevation, but felt plucky on release.

Well I shot this just now at 1 1/8"... but I missed the part about the x being behind. I couldn't see it, but the paper had a crease down the middle that gave me my vertical and defeated the purpose of the shot.

I'll try to reshoot it properly before the week is done.

Made up a little ground with today's shot, but not enough.
