There are a few other toads around Lake Athens. I have pics of a couple 150"s. Keep hunting the area! His babies are running around!

A lot of ETX leases are timber land. Some really good and some really really bad.



Lower number of hunters/acre is going to be better obviously. Do you have a particular lease in mind or just looking?

I’m actively looking for one.

I cracked up at that video. Id probably be just like that if i had history with the deer. But that was the first i had seen him and that property we hunt is only 25 acres. He probably just folllowed a hot doe in there. My chances of seeing him were pretty low.

Thought I'd share a picture of my daughter's Trinity county buck. She made a perfect 175 yrd quartering away shot with her trusty 7mm-08. The deer actually has 13 points and is 20" wide. Proud dad here!!!
