This is post rut and lost body weight. I see 3.5 easy and possibly 4.5. Hips are sucked in and prolly lost alot of weight from the rut.

Looks older than 2.5 to me, prly 3. He's got nice main beams. I like tight racks like that. Nice deer man! Hope you get a chance to stroke him in the future.

I think the deer is every bit of 4, and maybe more. Hard to judge in the post-rut, but I think if you put 25 lbs and a pot belly on that deer everyone here would say 4-5 yrs old. First picture shows a lot of muscle definition in neck/shoulder area. His face in the second picture looks like an older deer also.
