Tactacam Reveal X In Stock - Allegedly

I just sent my original Reveal back yesterday because it was leaking. I hope they replace it with the new X.

My reveal went back today because it wouldn't upload pics.
It was taking them, but wouldn't send them out.
It was also resetting the pictures to 1, mp's to 8 and turning off my camera id.
Tech said it needed a reflash and sent me a prepaid shipping label.
This camera worked fine when taken down after season.


My new X worked just fine.

Mine consistently sent about 75% of the pictures it should have. Didn’t realize it was doing it until I looked at sd card on a pc. I got my replacement today. It’s been gently used I would say by it’s condition. Hopefully this performs a little better. If it’d been new in the box I was going to sell it and get an X.

To that, If my memory serves correctly - the reveal is only sending the second picture out of each photo sequence.

I never use multi shot mode. I use a lot of cell cams, primarily so I don’t have to mess with checking sd cards.

Yeah, 7 day turnaround. I was very impressed with that.

Outside of the camera not being in a box, If they had cleaned the camera just a little bit more you’d never know it was used, but there was just a smidgeon of telltale bark grit and cobweb on the mounting teeth and and strap area on the back of the camera. As long as it works better than the first one I’m fine with it.

A few minutes ago I got an email from Sportsman's Warehouse that the Tactacam Reveal X was back in stock. I clicked on "buy now" and it said "out of stock". I called and they said their new shipment was already gone. They send most to the stores and whatever is leftover they offer online. There are some on eBay but at $175-225.
