UFO... what is it?

I was bass fishing the little lake by the house Sunday before last on March 7th and something caught my attention in the the western skies that evening. Was this a meteor? Or something less exiting and easily explainable? What do you think?

Looks like a Jet to me but I'm no expert.

Its trajectory looked downward and it appeared to have a pretty good tail of fire behind it. Maybe it was just an illusion. Just looked odd to me.

This was my first thought but I did a search and didn't see any in the sky at that time. That's why I thought maybe it was a meteor or something. I definitely thought it looked like a rocket at first.

Not a meteor---not moving fast enough. I'd say it is an airplane at very high altitude.
