I have learned one thing about duck boats. You always want... Hunting big lakes, I want a center console bay boat. Hunting marshes by myself, I want a layout boat. Hunting marshes with friends, I want a big surface drive. Hunting anywhere with a shallow (less than 6 inches) and hard sandy/rocky bottom.... I want an airboat. A 1648/1652 or 1748/1752 flat bottom with a longtail and an outboard available for use is about as good as an option there is for one boat.
