Years and years ago (like 18-20) I was posting on TBH how certain I was that online poker was rigged. I played lots in live games and then got into the online poker. I remember the same old.. Can't be rigged or they'd be shut down, too much money to lose etc. Then the bomb hit a little over a year later that it was all rigged. So I believe there were only 2-3 States that allowed online poker after that happened and they were regulated.
Fast forward to present time. I wanted to see if anything has changed so I tried finding a legit (or most likely to be legit) online poker site. It's still illegal in 45 States for a company in the US to run online poker games.. But not illegal for players to play online poker through companies outside the US. But obviously the US doesn't regulate so it's play at your own risk.
So I figured I'd throw in 1 litecoin ($96) and see whats all changed using Ignitioncasino.eu
1st off I read what I could find. Of course everything says it's 100% legit, Cash outs are easy/quick, and they have action plans to stop any cheating.
So I play small stakes .25/.50 blinds. And low and behold it was like deja vu. Ran $25 up to $100 in 20 minutes. I got more great hands in 30 minutes than I did playing live poker for 15 hours last weekend in Austin. This was exactly how Pokerstars(and others) hooked players 19-20 years ago. Then I started getting beat but not because I made bad calls... I'd have the winning hand and others would win on the river. But they let you hit lots of A high flushes, straights etc..
I wasn't really doing this for money. It's almost fun to play knowing great hands will hit every other hand or so and to sort of see how their software works.
I really am kind of surprised there are no legit online poker games with out software cheating. BTW - I can't see them cheating for themselves but more cheating just getting people hooked and then betting more as they make money off rakes.
Anyway - Long post just to say if you ever try online poker you better beware and don't put in much money.
And I just read some of this.
10th post down someone actually wrote a book on this LOL.
