        Darrell's - best poboys
Steam boat bills - really good Cajun food

The casino has pools and such. Normally a more rowdy crowd there than Laberge next door though. Specially late.
There are some guide services for fishing not too far away.

I think SPAR is $12 per person to get in. Definitely not Schlitterbahn but it's worth this price for a day spent with kids and only 10 minutes to GN or LB

Altitudes it's one of those trampoline places.
There's a skating rink in LC also.
Go eat at Walk-On's really good food.
There is a cop shop on McNeese that has really cheap 123 batteries.

I left N.O. because of the pending storm that will dump a ton of rain this weekend, so we are at my parents house which is almost next door to SPAR. Looks like the SPAR is lightly attended today. May be a light crowds this weekend.

From Exit 20 on Sulphur, heading South past Hackberry you will find the Sabine Refuge. They have a nature trail, if you want to see some alligators. It's in one of the curves past the Refuge HQ, look for a ton of people crabbing and you've arrived.

Yes, it’s $12 each and that is money well spent. We took my son yesterday, he had a blast and wore me out.

The pool there is amazing. Lazy river and water slides. Id rather be out in the pool than in the casino.

                      As said. SPAR is cool.

Altitude trampoline park in LC is awesome.

Cajun X cable down the road in Scott is awesome.

Take the kids down south to do some crabbing. That's my kids favorite every time we go back.

Also holliers, darrells, mr bills, Tony's pizza. All awesome food.

                        Lake Charles

If weather is nice, you can take a drive south to this place, Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center and then drive through the marsh at the Pintail wildlife drive just down the road from visitor center. Younger kids might like to see the different types of wildlife. Good thing about this is, it's free.

Last trip I stayed at darrels and got the surf and turf. Ah man. I think they are all great.

I need to go now. I'm bummed I'm missing the hurricane partys!
