To shoot a deer. Be ****ed if I’m going to watch a 160/170 class deer walk by at 90yrds.

20 yard walk to bow blind at one place, 300 yard walk to my bow blind at my other place, this trying mt biking to my gun blind at almost a mile to one and half mile to the other.

Reading this makes me remember way back to when my dad would park our station wagon at the trailer and we would walk about two miles, one way, to our hunting areas. He did not believe in running a vehicle through our hunting area. I would definitely be in better shape if I did that now. I now park about 200 yards from most of my stands. He also believed in using skunk scent as a cover scent.

One spot is a 1/4 mile walk from parked truck.. other one is 2/3 mile. It’s worth it to me.

Last place I was hunting it was a half mile. Then moved and it was a 10 minute walk. Much better.
