Is he not trying to protect his draft status? Didn’t UT have several do this last year in the same type of meaningless game and it was viewed as ok? I don’t like it either. I think it’s a bad look all the way around. Maybe I am missing something ?

Maybe so. I could have sworn many on here defended Malik and others. I could be wrong. I’m not a fan of it for sure but it’s hard for me to fault a first round guy for sitting out. As long as he didn’t wait until the last minute and put his team at an even bigger disadvantage.

Agreed, wasn’t as blatant. It’s a judgement call by official though.
