    Sighting in a rifle?

I know this may seem like a stupid question but I'll ask anyway. I bought a new rifle and the place I have to sight it in at this time is on top of a hill. So will sighting in a rifle down hill be the same as sighting in on flat ground? When I'm able to make it to the lease I will be able to get it on flat ground.
    Thanks,
    AP

    How big is the hill?

It would have to be pretty steep to make a significant difference.

        I would say a 5 ft drop at a 100yds and 8-10 ft drop at 200..

Shoot @ 25 yards hole through a hole and it will be about 2 inch high @ 100 , then micro adjustments to finish on flat ground

Or put another way-- aim as if your target were 99.9 yards instead of 100.

Don't think it will make any difference.

I think you need to approach this with more precision. If you are off an inch at x yards then your off multiple inches at xx yards. Do you want to take that chance when you have a trophy in your sights? I'd sight it in so I would have the confidence with my shot.

It will not matter with that minimal of an angle but if you want to understand more here is an article explaining it in detail.
