Need a shop with a bow press ASAP. Headed to south Texas to hunt and had a bow malfunction

Live Oak is closed in Cstat. Looks like Leading Edge, Mesquite and The Bow Shop are closed in San Antonio. Looks like Viking archery in Canyon Lake opens today (read mixed things about them).

not going to be of help, but if this viking archery is the same as the one that was in houston off 59 and bissonet, they are mixed at best from when i went to them.

for pure service, when it was the boys and their dad, there was nothing wrong with using them.

however, back then (roughly 15 years ago) they sold Mathews but were not an official Mathews dealer back then. I was told that they would buy out the ends of runs and sell them. they could service them, but not officially.

dont know if that is what you shoot, but i would check through Mathews website for authorized dealers and then check those shops to see if they are open.

things could have changed by now, i dont know.

they set up one of my Jennings bows back then and my wife's sparrow hawk. i had absolutely zero issues with the process from purchase through paper test and chrono when we did this.

accidental dry fire popped a string off my cam. String is fine and I think my limbs are fine. Just need a press to put the string back on.

Basspro in SA has a press

I have a press at my house in the Devine area. Problem is I won’t be home until after work. It’s kind of on your way if you take IH 35. Depending on what time you need it done, I could definitely get your string back on for you. I’m not a bow tech or anything, but do have a press.

Stop by basspro, they can do basic stuff, and have a range to test.
