Default Are there any mothers that need baby formula?

I keep hearing on the news about how hard it is to find formula. I can’t even imagine the stress this puts mothers in. So, if it’s ok with the mods, if you need baby formula, post up which kind and where you are located. I figure there is enough of us that go to the grocery store that we can give a couple minutes of our time to go check the formula isle. There is enough criticism going on, that’s NOT what mothers need. Let’s help them out green screen.

So post up what kind you need and where you are located. Then watch this thread and/or your inbox so we can get it to you.

Default Baby formula

These are the one my daughter needs/and is having a heck of a time finding for our grandson. We’re in Sulphur springs. First choice is silver can Similac, 2nd choice is silver can Sam’s brand, 3rd choice is orange can Similac. Obviously the reason for all the “choices” is cuz she gets which ever one she can that agrees with his stomach, and those three agree with him the best. Thanks ALOT for this post! Good Huntin, and God Bless, Rusty

I haven't tried this but my wife and I were talking about this the other day. She'd read you can change your location on Amazon to Canada and get it shipped.

No idea if this really works

I saw on the news that the government had truck loads of baby formula at the border. They are giving it to mothers with babies as they come across. Wonder if you went down there if they would give some to a mother that is already here?

sad to be put in this kind of bind but maybe this will influence some new mothers to feed the old fashion way in the future

The big problem is a LOT of mothers can’t feed naturally due to many different reasons. My wife was one of those. Due to complications at birth, our daughter did not latch soon enough which caused my wife’s body to not produce enough milk, and what she did produce stopped after only a month.

This is the reason why there used to be “wet nurses” before baby formula was a thing. These nurses would fed the babies that otherwise would have no natural nutrition. After formula came about, wet nurses became a thing of the past.

My son's girlfriend is due in October. I wish I could start buying in advance, but needless to say we have no idea what he or she will take to. Also, I don't want to take away food for babies that need it now, not months from now.

Well, I’m sure some mothers choose not to breastfeed, but many, many others have issues with milk production or baby has digestion issues… and it’s either let the baby starve or use formula.

The judgement by others is what makes situations like this worse.

This sucks. Prayers for everybody that need baby formula. My first grandkid is due early August. I'm worried about this shortage. Both my daughter were extremely allergic and needed formula. And we can't try to get some now because we don't know which one he would like. My daughter said she plans on breastfeeding as long as possible.

Prayers up and thanks for everybody trying to help. Two Atta Boys!

Not judging and I agree that some mothers have legit reasons to need formula but the vast majority use it out of convenience.

Natural is not easy, my wife fought through it twice while working full time so I know it’s hard but possible

I had luck going to small town stores for my kid. I'm down to one can, but I'm cutting her off the formula after this can runs out. She'll be 1 in less than a month and weighs like 25 lbs lol. I'll be going to the lake this weekend, and I can hit the stores that got me out of a bind for you guys.

Update

Through friends and family in other parts of the state, my sister in law was able to find several cans of her needed formula today so she should be good for the next couple months at least. Thank you again to all who are searching.
