    LEO question...

Have you guys/gals quit giving citations for expired license plates and registrations?

I went out to my Fort Bend County tax/registration office website and it says...

"Governor Abbott has extended the deadlines and waived penalties for renewing registration, permanent disabled placards, temporary permits, and transferring titles until 60 days after his disaster order is lifted."

Has the disaster order still not been lifted?

Should I renew or not? (My wife is worried she will get a ticket)

    Thanks

That has been amended for quite some time. Maybe they failed to update the website. Citations are being issued for those offenses.

Thanks, that is what I thought. Can't believe they still have that on their website.

Well, you're supposed to renew anyway. Doesn't say you didn't need to renew, only that you may not get ticketed for the offense. Pretty sure they're not going to let you slide by now.

In April it will be two years since it was lifted.

Wth? Why would you NOT renew?

My son got lazy and didn’t renew and they made him get new plates.

I just would never renew again. Good luck
