Who to use for a new motor

My dad lives in katy. He has my grandpa's old truck. It needs a new motor. My dad wants about 425 hp. Maybe in the 5.0 coyote platform. New tranny too. Any recommendations of who to use and about what it should cost?

It's no looker. I think it's an early 90s f150. Its got new paint but it is the original color scheme isnt too hot. Definitely not going the texas metal route, lol!

He just got a quote from Bumberas in Sealy. For a new motor, tranny, and a few other items, $33k! Whoa!!

Dang it! For a minute I thought I was going to see a 50’s model 3100. I’ll ask my neighbor that owns a body shop. He use to build.

For performance engines Jegs or Summit Racing would have some options on both the engine and transmission. I dont know any local folks anymore.
